Training on Election Laws and Ethical Reporting at Zi FM

This initiative reflects MISA Zambia’s continued commitment to promoting professional journalism

As the country is preparing for elections this year, MISA Zambia has organised a series of intensive capacity-strengthening trainings for journalists and media practitioners focused on Election Laws and the Electoral Code of Conduct, Ethical Reporting during elections and Mis/Disinformation.

From 24-26 February 2026, MISA Zambia was in Kapiri Mposhi, Central Province, conducting a training with Zi FM STEREO ZAMBIA. The training is designed to strengthen ethical, accurate and responsible election reporting in line with prescribed professional standards.

Participants were guided on the legal framework governing the electoral process in Zambia.

Emphasis was placed on understanding the rights, obligations and limitations of the media during elections.

This initiative reflects MISA Zambia’s continued commitment to promoting professional journalism.
