Media Legal Help Desk Publicity Campaign launched

The Media Legal Help Desk provides both preventive legal guidance and rapid response support to ensure that journalists carry out their work confidently, professionally, and within the confines of the law. All media practitioners in Zambia are encouraged to participate and take advantage of this vital service

MISA Zambia, in collaboration with the Kasama Press Club, has officially launched a Media Legal Help Desk Publicity Campaign aimed at strengthening media freedom and enhancing legal protection for journalists.

This important initiative seeks to raise awareness among journalists, media practitioners, and media houses about the availability of legal support and advisory services under the Media Legal Help Desk.

Through the Help Desk, journalists will receive information on:
✅ How to access legal assistance
✅ Guidance on media law compliance
✅ Support in cases involving threats, harassment, defamation, arrests, and other violations related to their professional duties.

The Media Legal Help Desk provides both preventive legal guidance and rapid response support to ensure that journalists carry out their work confidently, professionally, and within the confines of the law.
All media practitioners are encouraged to participate and take advantage of this vital service.
