MISA holds its 25th AGM

2 Dec, 2025
This year’s AGM was particularly special as it was the first time the institution invited all 250 members and 8 institutional members to the meeting.

On the 28th of November 2025, MISA Zambia held its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Mika Hotel in Kabulonga, Lusaka.

Presenting the Chairperson’s report, MISA Zambia Chairperson, Lorraine Chisanga Mwanza, was pleased to have recorded remarkable achievements by MISA Zambia across programmes, advocacy initiatives, and institutional strengthening efforts.

She noted that these successes reflected the collective dedication to defending media freedom, freedom of expression, and digital rights.

The 25th AGM also ratified the appointment of Mr. Raphael Banda as a new member of the National Governing Council (NGC). Mr. Banda, who is a journalist and a journalist trainer, joins the board as a Committee Member, bringing a wealth of knowledge that will prove most valuable to the board.
