ZAMBEEF PLC & FPI partner with MISA Zambia on its 22nd Platinum & Golden Awards

Zambeef PLC and FPI join several organizations that have partnered with MISA Zambia in celebrating its 22nd Edition of the Platinum and Golden Media Awards

For immediate release

LUSAKA – MISA Zambia wishes to announce its partnership with Zambeef PLC and Zambia Free Press Initiative on its 22nd MISA Zambia Platinum & Golden Media Awards scheduled for 20th September 2024.

Zambeef PLC comes on board to recognize and appreciate journalistic efforts to encourage environmental, agricultural and food security reporting in Zambia.

The Award categories sponsored by Zambeef PLC are Best Environmental Reporting Award (Print, and Electronic Media) which are aimed at recognizing the exemplary coverage of environmental issues in Zambia including waste and pollution, forestry, fisheries, conservation, and chemical management in a creative manner. This award will also recognize stories that demonstrate in-depth knowledge of new developments in environmental conservation, and its impact on human activities.

Additionally, Zambeef will sponsor Best Reporting in Agriculture and Food Security (Print, and Electronic Media). This award recognizes stories that demonstrate a deep understanding of agriculture and provide in-depth reporting on key issues such as policies, research and innovations, market dynamics, climate change, biodiversity loss, access to inputs and markets, soil health, and social-economic aspects.

Furthermore, MISA Zambia has partnered with Zambia Free Press Initiative which will sponsor the Most Outstanding Climate Change Award (Print and Television). The award seeks to recognize Journalists who champion Climate Action as part of its endeavour to encourage climate change reporting through support from Hivos Southern Africa.

Zambeef PLC and FPI join several organizations such as the European Union, USAID Local Impact Governance, PANOS Institute Southern Africa, Buy Zed Campaign, the Non-Governmental Coordinating Council, Securities Exchange Commission, Totum Solution Limited, Ideaholic, Kalemba, Otridah Kapona and Platinum Media that have partnered with MISA Zambia in celebrating its 22nd Edition of the Platinum and Golden Media Awards.
