MISA commends BYTA FM on 10th Anniversary

The Chairperson of MISA Zambia has commended BYTA FM for its decade-long contribution to community development and grassroots communication, describing the station’s 10th anniversary as a “remarkable milestone.” Speaking during the commemorative event, Mrs Lorraine Mwanza Chisanga congratulated the Board, Management, Staff, and stakeholders for what was described as ten years of resilience, growth, and impactful broadcasting in Southern Province.

Looking ahead, she urged BYTA FM and other community broadcasters to adapt to a rapidly evolving media landscape shaped by technological change, misinformation, and financial pressures. Emphasis was placed on the need to uphold ethical journalism standards while embracing innovation to remain relevant and effective. Reaffirming its commitment, MISA Zambia pledged continued support to media institutions across the country, while encouraging BYTA FM to build on its achievements and remain a trusted platform for information and community engagement in the years to come.

During the same event, Byta FM Radio Manager Albert Mwiinga expressed his appreciation to the guests for accepting the invitation to commemorate the station’s 10th anniversary of broadcasting.

In addition, Byta FM Radio Board Chairperson Philip Pandwe highlighted the station’s dedication to offering professional mentoring in journalism and broadcasting to young individuals.
