MISA holds National Digital Rights Advocacy Workshop

Activists, media practitioners, and civil society actors came together to sharpen their understanding and skills in championing internet rights

In a world where our lives are lived as much online as they are offline, the fight for internet rights is more crucial than ever!

Imagine a society where the digital realm reflects the values of democracy and freedom!

On February 8th, MISA Zambia conducted a National Digital Rights Advocacy Workshop in Lusaka. Activists, media practitioners, and civil society actors came together to sharpen their understanding and skills in championing internet rights. The workshop was made possible with support from Namibia Media Trust and Association for Progressive Communications (APC).

The workshop addressed pertinent issues like Digital Security for Activists; Cyber Security in the Digital Age; Legal Frameworks and Digital Rights and Leveraging Technology for Advocacy. Among the speakers were officials from Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority

Together, letโ€™s ensure our digital world reflects the principles of equality and freedom!
