MISA Zambia partners with European Union for 21st Platinum & Golden Awards

LUSAKA – MISA Zambia is pleased to announce a significant partnership with the European Union for its 21st MISA Zambia Platinum & Golden Awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on 15th September 2023.

The European Union has chosen to collaborate with MISA Zambia in recognizing and honoring journalistic excellence in climate reporting. This prestigious event aims to celebrate exceptional achievements across various fields, introducing a new and special category, the “Best Reporting Climate Change” award. This category will acknowledge outstanding media personnel in TV, Radio, Print, and Online media, with submission entries open until 25th August 2023.

The introduction of the “Best Reporting: Climate Change Media Award” demonstrates the European Union’s commitment towards the  fight  against Climate Change and nurturing the  environment in Zambia. It also serves as an expression of appreciation for the vital role the media plays in keeping society informed about national affairs.

Joining other esteemed organizations such as PANOS Institute Southern Africa, Buy Zed Campaign, Public Service Pensions Fund, the Non-Governmental Coordinating Council, Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC), and Lusaka Water, the European Union has become an essential partner in celebrating the 21st Edition of the Platinum and Golden Media Awards hosted by MISA Zambia.
