MISA awards three best performing UNZA students

The awards serve as a milestone in honoring the great works and achievements that Professor Francis Kasoma left behind

MISA Zambia on 23rd June 2023 was honored to present the Francis Kasoma Award to the best graduating students in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences particularly the Department of Media and Communication Studies at The University of Zambia.

The awards serve as a milestone in honoring the great works and achievements that Professor Francis Kasoma left behind.

Professor Kasoma contributed immensely to the media fraternity in Zambia. He fought for both media freedom and excellence through research and writing vastly on media-related topics.

He also took government to task to defend media freedom including stopping statutory regulation of the media in Zambia.

The top Best Performing Students in Mass Communication include Taonga Tembo who scooped the first position, Innocent Musanje who scooped the second position and Sheila Lundu who got the third prize.
